IHS is a recent addition to the services family for Minnesota DHS.  An individual receiving this type of service has access to an array of different types of assistance.  Staff are available up to 16 hours a day in 4 categories: Community Participation, Health, safety and wellness, household management and adaptive skills.  Help can be given in the home and community.  Staff can provide direct supervision, cues for self-cares, coordination of community living activities, skill building, budgeting and crisis prevention skills among other things.  

Hours can be authorized up to 16 per day plus remote.
